Lieutenant Robert Candlish Hocking, R.N. (18 March, 1879 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

His father was a vicar who died some time after Hocking joined the Navy.

Hocking was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 January, 1900.

Hocking was appointed to the submarine Perseus on the Indies Station as first and gunnery officer in January, 1907.

He was dismissed the service following a Court Martial on 14 April, 1908 for conduct unbecoming an officer.
