Lieutenant Sidney John Babbage (5 October, 1866 – 15 May, 1919) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Babbage was promoted to Boatswain on 8 September, 1894.

Babbage was promoted to Chief Boatswain on 1 April, 1912.[1]

Babbage was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 074 on 7 February, 1918.[2]

Babbage was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 May, 1918.

Post-War

Babbage was killed "as the result of an explosion in the office of Captain Supt. Barrow."
