Captain (retired) Stanley Bernard Norfolk, (19 August, 1871 – 11 July, 1940) served in the Royal Navy in the Dreadnought Era.

Life & Career

In April 1890, Captain Rawson of Benbow found him "very zealous and trustworthy".

Norfolk was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in August, 1893. In September 1894, Captain Marrack of Calypso deemed Norfolk "not very zealous". Norfolk then began almost two years in the third class protected cruiser Phoebe[1] on the Cape of Good Hope Station.

Norfolk was promoted to the rank of Commander in June, 1905.

Norfolk was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Captain on 19 August, 1921.
