H.M.S. Sarpedon was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

Upon completion, Sarpedon and Romola joined the Eleventh Destroyer Flotilla in September, 1916, being the first destroyers other than "M" class in that formation.[8]

Sarpedon reduced to Reserve Complement at the Nore on 24 February, 1920.[9]
