Henry Thompson

Captain (retired) Henry Thompson, (21 August, 1864 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Thompson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 January, 1887.[1] He was appointed to the destroyer Myrmidon on 9 October, 1888 and transferred into the Rambler when she commissioned at Hong Kong on 1 February, 1888 for surveying work.[2]

Thompson was placed on the Retired List on account of age with the rank of Commander on 21 August, 1909.

In recognition of service rendered during the war assisting the Inspector of Steel, Thompson was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired), dated 11 November 1918.
