Lieutenant-Commander Robert Gordon Brabazon O'Neil Roe, R.N. ( – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Roe entered Dartmouth College in September 1925 and passed out first in his term and won the Robert Roxburgh Memorial Prize and first prizes in science, navigation and engineering as well as second prizes in mathematics and French.[1]

After taking five first-class certificates in examinations,[2] Roe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 June 1933.[3]

Roe was awarded the Ogilvy Medal for the year 1938, having taken first in examinations to qualify as Lieutenant (T).[4]

Roe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 June 1941.[5]
