Admiral Charles Henry Hodgson Moore, Royal Navy, Retired (22 March, 1858 – 17 March, 1920) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Moore was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1882.[1]

Moore was promoted to the rank of Commander on 1 January, 1895.[2]

Captain

Moore was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1900.[3]

In 1906, he assumed command of the first class protected cruiser St. George, vacating the post in August.[4]

On 1 June, 1907, Moore was appointed to President for command of the North of Ireland Coast Guard District.[5]

Flag Rank

Moore was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 27 April, 1910, vice Callaghan.[6] In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, he was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, on 10 May, 1913,[7] and was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 24 October, 1915.[8] He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 1 January, 1919.[9]
