Admiral Edmund Charles Drummond, Royal Navy (4 August, 1841 – 6 May, 1911) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Drummond was promoted to the rank of Commander on 11 October, 1867. Because he is named as a "late Flag Lieutenant" to Rear-Admiral Yelverton it is assumed that this was a "Haul-Down promotion".[1]
Drummond was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1877.[2]
Drummond was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to the Queen dated 5 August, 1890, vice Fane.[3]
Drummond was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 March, 1892, vice Buller.[4]
He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral dated 21 December, 1898.[5]
He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 1 October, 1903.[6]
In accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903, Drummond was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 26 November, 1904.[7]
