H.M.S. Success was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending. She was briefly in the Royal Navy before being transferred to the R.A.N. where she became H.M.A.S. Success.
Service
H.M.S. Success was commissioned into the Royal Australian Navy on 27 January, 1920 as H.M.A.S. Success.
Success paid off into Reserve at Sydney on 6 October, 1921.[6]
Commissioned at Sydney on 1 December, 1925.[7]
Paid off into "E" class Reserve 20 May, 1930.[8]
