H.M.S. Scout was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.
Service
She reduced to Reserve Fleet at Devonport on 14 August, 1920.[6]

Scout was commissioned 18 November, 1927.[8]
She again commissioned at Chatham on 1 April, 1931.[9] She reduced to Reserve on 1 November, 1932.[10]
She was commissioned as an additional emergency destroyer in the Reserve Fleet at The Nore on 17 May, 1934.[11] She reduced to Reserve on 11 September, 1934.[12]
Re-commissioned on 30 April, 1937 for the Reserve Fleet at The Nore.[13]
