Rear-Admiral Charles Otway Alexander, (1 January, 1888 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Newark.
Alexander was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1908.[1]
Alexander was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 June, 1916.[2]
Alexander was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1919.[3]
Alexander was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1927.[4]
Alexander was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 10 January, 1939 and was placed on the Retired List the following day.[5]
He commanded the Torpoint shore establishment H.M.S. Raleigh from 31 October, 1939 to 20 March, 1944, in the rank of Commodore, Second Class. On 6 November, 1944 he was declared unfit for further naval service.[6]
