Commander Edward Stephen Fogarty Fegen, V.C., R.N. (8 October, 1891 – 6 November, 1940) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1913.[1]
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1921.[2]
Fegen was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1927.[3]
Lieutenant Fegen was appointed to the scout cruiser Amphion on 4 February, 1914.[4]
Fegen was appointed Lieutenant in Command of the destroyer Paladin on 24 July, 1917.[5]
Post-War
Loaned to the Royal Australian Navy for two years, from 26 November, 1927 to 1 September, 1929.
World War II
In 1940, Fegen was appointed to take command of the armed merchant cruiser Jervis Bay upon her commissioning.
