Commander Walter Henry Leeke, R.N. (15 August, 1885 – 8 February, 1924) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Reverend J. Newton Leeke was born in Inkberrow, Worcester.
Leeke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1907.
Leeke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1915.
Post-War
Leeke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1918.
Leeke was appointed in command of the patrol boat PC 74 on 20 March, 1919.[1]
Recently evaluated by Captain Bather as being "handicapped by deafness", Leeke was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 31 October, 1922. Leeke died in Uganda, "suddenly".
