Lieutenant-Commander John Henry Evans, M.B.E., D.S.C. (14 August, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Evans was promoted to the rank of Acting Gunner (T) on 3 April, 1913 and confirmed in the rank on 20 June, 1914.

Evans was promoted to the rank of Command Gunner (T) on 3 April, 1923.

Evans was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 26 February, 1931.

World War II

Evans was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 26 February, 1939.

After apparently being in command of Menelaus for over five years commencing in late 1940, he was released from service on 30 June, 1946.[1]
