Commander R.N.R. Eric Rees, D.S.C, R.D., R.N.R. (5 February, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

On 21 May 1915, Rees was cautioned to exercise more care in future following damage to the dock wall at Yarmouth by the paddle minesweeper Glen Avon.[1]

Rees was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915.[2]

Rees was appointed in command of Marchioness of Bate[?] and placed in charge of a unit of Light Sweep Paddle Minesweepers at Portsmouth on 17 June, 1918.[3]

In 1918 Rees received an adverse report following a collision between Dartmoor and Tedworth.[4]

Rees was demobilised on 1 April 1919.[5]

Rees was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1923.[6]

Rees was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1928.[7]
