Commander (retired) Charles Fraser Harrington Churchill, D.S.C. (19 March, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reserve Officer Major H. Churchill emerged from the Training Establishment in August, 1914 and was appointed to the battleship London, in which he served through 29 August, 1916 when he was ordered home. He then served in the battlecruiser Renown until 13 August, 1917.

After a week-long course in Torpedo Control, he served in the patrol boat P59 and then, from 25 March 1918 in the "S" Class destroyer Scimitar through the end of the war.

Churchill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 25 February, 1920.

Churchill was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 25 February, 1928.

World War II

Churchill was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 19 March, 1944.
