Frederick Alexander Warden (6 February, 1856 – 22 February, 1909) was an officer of the Royal Navy during the First World War.

Life & Career

Warden was promoted to Lieutenant on 4 February, 1881.[1]

Warden was promoted to Commander on 30 June, 1894.[2]

Warden was promoted to Captain on 31 December, 1900.[3]

In 1903, he was chastised for running a Court Martial about a collision involving Melampus poorly.[4]

Warden was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Cressy on 8 February 1905.[5]

He was appointed in command of the battleship Illustrious on 3 April, 1906.[6]

In November 1906, he took command of the battleship Russell. In July, 1907 he was sent to the hospital. Such care and convalescence would pepper the remainder of his career.
