H.M.S. Sparrowhawk was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.
There were two earlier destroyers named Sparrowhawk: one launched in 1895 and one launched in 1912.
Service
She recommissioned at Portsmouth on 27 April, 1920.[6]
Reduced to Reserve Complement on 21 May 1924. By March 1925 she was attached to the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla of the Atlantic Fleet.[7]
