Vice-Admiral SIR James Murray Pipon, K.B.E., C.B., C.M.G., O.B.E., R.N. (25 October, 1882 – ?) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Captain J. P. Pipon, R.N. was born in Kent.
Pipon was promoted to Lieutenant on 31 August, 1904.
Pipon was promoted to Lieutenant-Commander on 31 August, 1912.[1]
He was appointed to Penelope on 20 November, 1914, where he served under Captain Hubert Lynes.[2]
Pipon was promoted to Commander on 30 June, 1915.[3]
He was appointed to Lowestoft on 2 April, 1918 as Flag Commander and for War Staff duties.[4]
Pipon was promoted to Captain on 31 August, 1920.
Pipon was promoted to Rear-Admiral on 20 October, 1932.
Pipon was promoted to Vice-Admiral on 11 December, 1936 and placed on the Retired List the following day.
