Rear-Admiral Allan Poland, C.B.E., D.S.O. (7 December, 1888 - 6 February, 1984) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Hamilton, Wentworth, Ontario.
Poland was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1909.[1]

He was appointed in command of the submarine C 30 on 19 November, 1913.[3]

Post-War
On 27 October, 1919, Poland was appointed in command of the submarine K 13.[5]

In 1930, Poland was treated for colitis at Haslar Naval Hospital.
Poland was appointed in command of the light cruiser Colombo in July, 1931. He was commended for rendering services in the wake of disturbances in Cyprus.
In 1934, Poland received a commendation from the Commander-in-Chief, China for his submarine flotilla during an exercise.

On 24 February, 1939, Cosmo Moray Graham relieved Poland as Senior Naval Officer, Persian Gulf.
